Length of Program: Open 120 Days from day of enrollment
Length of Individual Trainings: Flexible and Convenient! Online classes are self-paced, typically taking 60 minutes to complete. They are easily and conveniently accessible on desktops and laptops, and on tablets and phones with the Tooling U-SME app.
This self-paced, online program is a great place to start if you want a career in precision manufacturing, but can’t commit to enrolling in a formal program. Ideal for high school students, dislocated workers, veterans, and individuals coming from other non-manufacturing sectors.
Students learn foundational concepts of advanced manufacturing from home, using the ToolingU online learning platform. Each of the 25 asynchronous trainings is 60-90 minutes and all are relevant for entry-level manufacturing positions. You will have 120 days to complete the 25 trainings.
After taking this course, students will have a foundational understanding of the manufacturing industry and the various activities that are required to create a product. The Introduction to Manufacturing Online Training will prepare those students pursuing a career in manufacturing or considering further learning about specific manufacturing processes at 十大彩票平台 or other institutions.
A certificate of completion will be provided.
This training can be converted into (3) college credits after enrolling in the 十大彩票平台 Mechanical Engineering Technology Program’s CNC Operations Certificate (CNCO.COC) or Mechanical Engineering Technology Associate’s degree (MECH.AS).
Upon request, an 十大彩票平台 Mechanical Engineering Technology Professor can be available to answer questions and provide guidance. For students interested in furthering their studies at 十大彩票平台, a faculty member can assist in scheduling a tour of the 十大彩票平台 Mechanical Engineering Technology Department’s state-of-the-art lab and review the many options available in Advanced Manufacturing at 十大彩票平台.

No Refunds will be given once class begins
In the absence of a written third party contractual agreement stating otherwise, all refunds will be issued to the student. Credit card payments will be refunded directly to the credit card if processed within thirty days of the payment.

Students who successfully complete the Introduction to Manufacturing Program may sit for the SME Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) Exam.
